هُنالك بعض المُبيدات الحشرية الفعالة التي تُساعد على طرد البرص الموجود في جدران المنازل وساحاتها، إضافةً لعلاج مشاكل الحشرات الأخرى التي قد تكون بالأساس هي سبب تواجد البرص، على اعتبار أنها مصدر الغذاء الرئيسي لها، ويكون بعضها على شكل حبيباتٍ يتم رشها حول فناء المنزل، أو قرب الجدار الخارجي له، وفي المناطق الخضراء، وفي الشقوق وأماكن تواجد البرص، ثم ريّ هذه الحبيبات بالماء؛ لتنشيطها وزيادة فعّاليتها في قتل الآفات، كما أنّ هنالك مُبيدات حشرية سائلة، وأخرى على شكل مساحيق تطرد مُختلف الآفات وتُبعدها عن المنازل.
