Ward & Ann Johnson, Co-Directors
In 51 years, we have three great kids, Christian, Margit and Erik, six grandchildren, Ben, Trigg, Lauren, Karin, Markus and Jakob. Plus two dogs, Gladys and Moos. Plus 42 fish.
We have started several companies, all technology based, I am a chemical engineer in withdrawal. We are devoted to rebuilding the population of the Monarch Butterfly in North America.

Christian Johnson
Christian & Stacy Johnson live in Edina, MN with their three children, Ben, Trigg & Lauren, and their dog, Jack. When they’re not busy racing their kids from one activity to another (hockey rinks in particular), they enjoy a lot of family time and spending weekends together up north.
Christian joins Save Our Monarchs as Director of Marketing and is responsible for branding & design, website & email communications and social media. The rest of his family is also passionate and active in this effort, from filling seed packets to helping build awareness and engagement with friends and through local school programs.

Pam Neils
Pam and Todd live in Chanhassen, MN with their two teenage children, Henry and Maddie and three cats. She is Vice President of the CAA Basketball for 11 years and has been coaching youth basketball for 12. She loves working with children and watching them become the best they can be.
Pam joins Save Our Monarchs as Director of Fulfillment, and is quite passionate about correcting the demise of the Monarch butterfly. Feeding the Monarch caterpillar is a top priority in saving the Monarchs.

Randall Gilbert and Jennifer Duerr
Randall Gilbert and Jennifer Duerr are long-time Monarch activists. They are both Nebraska natives and have been involved in conservation projects for over twenty years. They also have a home in Mexico near the Monarch over-wintering reserves, and have assisted with reforestation efforts in Michoacan. They are currently working on large-scale Monarch and other pollinator habitat restoration efforts in Nebraska, and are committed to expanding the Save Our Monarchs Foundation’s mission.
Randall Gilbert and Jennifer Duerr are long-time Monarch activists. They are both Nebraska natives and have been involved in conservation projects for over twenty years. Becki Chandler
Becki joins us from Nebraska, where she has been working as a Garden Educator and Conservationist. When Becki isn't outside working in the garden or educating people about plants, she is usually riding her horses. She brings her background in Ethnobotany and Journalism to develop blog content for Save Our Monarchs Foundation. She believes that education is the key to bringing back the Monarchs.
Becki joins us from Nebraska, where she has been working as a Garden Educator and Conservationist. She brings her background in Ethnobotany and Journalism to develop blog content for Save Our Monarchs Foundation. She believes that education is the key to bringing back the Monarchs.
Kay MacNeil, Evangelist
Kay is an active Garden Clubs of Illinois member, and joins Save Our Monarchs' Midwest Team. Kay lives in Frankfort with her husband, where she has her own award-winning gardening TV show. She currently chairs the Garden Clubs of Illinois’ President Project called Milkweed for Monarchs.
